About the Instructor
Jane Alexys is a sewist & upcycle designer based in Montreal, Quebec. She specializes in turning trash into timeless treasures with various fibre art techniques. After years in the fast-paced film and event technology industries, I founded Atelier Galaxia as a return to slower, more intentional making. Having seen the environmental toll of temporary productions, I am now dedicated to textile repair and longevity - valuing craft as a tactile act of storytelling and ritual. Read more here.
