Lessons take place at the Atelier Galaxia Studio in the Mile End in Montreal. They are offered as two-hour, one-on-one sessions tailored to your skill level and creative goals. If you are an absolute beginner with no sewing experience, a 10 hour class pack is recommended.
Classes are currently designed for beginners and adventurous beginners. After completing this level, you may book one-on-one consultation sessions for support with individual projects.
After purchasing a class pass, Jane Alexys will contact you with a booking link and schedule a brief 15-minute introductory call to discuss your goals and create a custom lesson plan.
Lessons are taught on a domestic sewing machine. You’re welcome to bring your own machine if you’d like to learn on the equipment you use at home.
All supplies are provided at the studio. If you have a specific project in mind, I’m happy to help connect you with resources for materials.
Lessons are offered in English or French (with the occasional bit of Franglais), and tea and light refreshments are provided.
